There are private beaches in Hurghada, so you can forget about long walks by the sea:( You'll have to use beach which belongs to your hotel - that's why you should consider the hotel before you reserve it.
There is possibility to use other hotels beaches - mostly it costs around 25 LE (egyptian pound).
Recommended beaches - Old Vic (enterance 25 LE) and at Magawish hotel (2 km of sandy beach)
One, private and free of charge beach belongs to pub Ministry of Sound the bar in Sakalla at Sheraton Road (more info: Going out in HRG). Nice, sandy beach, chill out music, cold drinks and coral reef just few meters from the shore.
Tip: Egypt is an islamic country, respect it by not going topless on the beach or indeed anywhere!
This what I wrote in another topic, could be perfect if all the beaches are public. The buildings and hotels are covering all the beatiful view, so when you walk on the streets you don't feel like you are at the sea side
Thanks for this information. I am actually planning to reserve a private beach for my friends wedding proposal. The girl love beaches so we come up a plan to propose at the beach. Hope he can do it.
Me and my wife planning for a trip to Egypt as my uncle is staying there. So I love to book one of the hotel which have their own privat beach. Thanks for the information.
