I am an Egyptian man who has lived in the West for a significant part of my life. My wife is a Polish Christian and we have been happily married for 11 years. She is the love of my life and I couldn't imagine my life without her. One of the most important reasons for the success of our marriage is a mutual respect for each others' religions and cultures. We are living proof that different cultures can coexist and when mixed marriages are good there are unstoppable. Now the bad news. I am an upper middle class Egyptian with an American education and I have a great deal of admiration and respect for Western values and customs, such as freedom in all aspects of life, but the question is how many Egyptians have had that kind of exposure and are on the enlightened side of moderate Islam, like myself? There are huge educational and social differences between Egyptians, and any Egyptian who is to succeed with a European wife needs to fully understand and appreciate where she is coming from in terms of values and way of life. Many European women come to the Red Sea and meet these very primitive Egyptian men, and they think they are like common European men. Be warned! The bottom line is that many European women have very happy marriages with Egyptian men but they are married to highly educated and highly cultured men with decent money. If your husband to be does not fit the above description I can guarantee that your marriage will end in a disaster. If, on the other hand, he is an educated and enlightened man with western exposure and mindset, then you don't have to worry about children or divorce. A decent man will take care of his wife until death seperates them. I hope I've been helpful.

First Im happy I have found this website. Kind of too late.... Im Polish married to man from Egypt.
I agree if you want to meet a decent man make sure he is as someone here described in early post. I met my husband different way and he is from Cairo. Unfortunetlly in beginning everything was nice now we are apart and I know I made mistake marrying him. I catch him few times and not just lies... Sometimes its easy to catch someone on net if you using net as comunication.
Anyway the reason Im here because I was hoping maybe I could meet another Polish women married to Arabic men.

I like to read the site but Im not the one who likes to judge because we all have different stories and I cant look at every women the same way. There are all kind of people in this world, bad and good and dosent matter what colour he or she is. I guess we never stop learning....

Another question: her sister 16 years old, she is not polite with me (this is what I think) once she said to me: I am stubborn like donkey!! the point is my wife always stands by her side against me, sure after she said so, my wife said this normal kind of speech (from 16 years old girl to 29 years old man) this is unpolite for me and I really reacted like this as insulting, was I wrong or right?
